You will learn about the small sugar cane town of Mossman. You will experience The Daintree River with a Wild Crocodile Cruise, looking for wild saltwater crocodiles!

“Make sure to bring your zoom lens on your camera if you have one!”

The Daintree River Ferry Crossing

The Daintree River Ferry Crossing

Enjoy the Daintree River ferry crossing, once on the Northern side of the river the road turns to dirt. There is no mains electricity supply or city freshwater supplies once you cross the Daintree River. Anyone living on the Northern side of the Daintree River generates their own power usually by solar panels. Locals also collect freshwater from the roofs of the house or freshwater streams.

Did you know the Daintree Rainforest is regarded as the oldest continually surviving Rainforest in the World? That is why it received Wold Heritage listing in the late 1970’s.

Your experienced senior guide is what separates this tour from the others, it is the knowledge you will learn along the way that makes the difference. Learn about the native birds, flora and fauna, marsupials and land-dwelling Rainforest animals.

Cape Tribulation where the Rainforest meets the Reef

Cape Tribulation where the Rainforest meets the Reef

Your guide will explain the early settler years of this region to the many native plants and animals that are unique to Cape Tribulation & Daintree National Park.

Your guide will also teach you about the unique Aboriginal tribes that still live in this area. You will learn about the Ku Ku Yalanji Aboriginal peoples, how they lived, hunted and existed within the Rainforests.

Cape Tribulation is a World Heritage listed National Park. Inside the National Park, scientists have found over 15 species of primitive flowering plants.

At this point in time, this is the highest concentration of primitive flowering plants found in one concentrated area compared with any other part of the World. This is just one of the many amazing natural beauties about Cape Tribulation and Daintree National Park.
