Pro-Dive Cairns offer a 5-Day PADI (Open Water) Learn to Dive Course. Spend the first two days completing your swimming pool and classroom training. Followed by a 3-Day/2-Night Liveaboard to complete a total of 9-Scuba Dives. Including a night dive. - To do the PADI Advanced Course you need to have already completed your PADI Open Water Course.
- You must be medically fit with no asthma and not be taking any prescription medication to learn to dive.
- Minimum age to dive is 12 years or older.
- You also must be able to swim.
The highlight of learning to dive with Pro-Dive are the reef sites you dive on. Pro-Dive have permits for Flynn, Milne and Pellowe Reefs. Beautiful reefs sites with large coral bays with many soft and hard coral gardens. The Pro-Dive 5-Day PADI Learn to Dive course really takes it one step further. Enjoy a total of 9 dives including 1-night dive. All scuba dives are completed on the Great Barrier Reef.
Day-1 & Day-02
Day one and two are spent at the Pro-Dive training center. Learn the basics of how to put your dive gear together, you will learn how to complete an emergency ascent. Learn about dive tables, water pressure, and general dive safety. Complimentary bus transfers from a Cairns hotel are included each day. Leave a note in the booking form which hotel you are staying at.
Day-03, Day-04 & Day-05
After completing your first two days in the swimming pool and classroom training. It now time to join the 3-Day/2-night liveaboard dive boat. At sea on the Great Barrier Reef, you complete your first 4 x training dives. Once completed you will be signed off as a PADI Open Water Diver. You can now enjoy 5 x more fun dives including a night dive. Diving from a liveaboard allows you to dive all spectrums of the day. 6:00am morning dive, 10:00am mid-morning dive, after lunch dive, 3:00pm dive, sunset dive and 7:00pm night dive. Different marine animals become more active at different times of the day. This is the advantage of scuba diving from a liveaboard.
What to Bring:
Day-01 & Day-02
Bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen, money for lunch.
Day-02, Day-03 & Day-04
Bring an overnight bag with comfortable clothing, a light jacket, toiletries, towel, sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses. *Remember you must be medically fit with no asthma and not taking any prescription medication to try scuba diving.
All meals are included on the 3-day/2-night liveaboard. A cold cut buffet style lunch is provided with a large array of fresh salads, cold meats, soups, bread, cheeses, and desserts. *Vegetarian and food allergy meal options are also available. Make a note in the comments of the booking form if you require any of these. Meals are not included for the first two days of classroom and pool training.
